INVENTORY BUILDING WORKSHOPS
Our volunteer programs and heritage inventory building workshops are open to everyone with a heart for Filipino cultural heritage.
CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT SYSTEMS
We enable local stakeholders such as government agencies, LGUs and NGOs to take action in making their heritage known, usable and protected through providing them with support systems, capacity building and training.
R&D, ANALYTICS AND DATA EXCHANGE
We find better ways and methods through research and development, and we are taking heritage data a step further through analytics and data exchange with other web platforms; therefore increasing heritage data’s inherent value.
CONSULTANCY AND SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
We are the only accredited service provider of Arches in Asia-Pacific. Want to pioneer digital heritage documentation in your place? We’re here to help you out.
Grupo Kalinangan Inc. (GKI) is a government-registered non-stock, non-profit cultural tech organization, duly recognized by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines. We are composed of cultural heritage practitioners coming from diverse fields and industries such as architecture, IT, social sciences, business, among others. But from diversity comes unity and harmony with everything we do, coupled with our common passions, bringing forth a new-found (and perhaps unparalleled) dedication to our advocacy.
At the heart of GKI is our committment to excellence, hardwork, innovation and compassion for our fellow countrymen. Our volunteers strive to become better mappers, better researchers, better writers, better trainors, better heritage advocates, and thus better Filipinos. Guided by a very Filipino style of camaraderie, we share the same ultimate vision of a better Philippines that takes better care of its cultural heritage resources through the use of innovative IT tools and services, building capacities for communities and leveraging on support systems.
Heritage Inventory Building
Over the span of one year, Grupo Kalinangan Inc. has conducted five intensive training and certification periods for its regular volunteer program. Open to cultural heritage practitioners and heritage enthusiasts alike, the program upholds the organization’s goal of capacity development available to everyone willing and able to contribute to Philippine Heritage Map’s database. The family’s expanding! Click here to submit your application to join one of our quarterly training sessions.
We at GKI believe in taking up a multi-faceted approach in heritage documentation and conservation. That’s why we are partnering with various local government agencies and development-oriented institutions who wish create impact on digital heritage management.
R&D, ANALYTICS AND DATA EXCHANGE
Heritage data left to collect dust? Not on our watch! GKI continues to explore means by which heritage data can be useful even outside of fields it’s traditionally associated with. Know a thing or two on big data? Let’s chat! We’d love to exchange ideas with you.
CONSULTING AND SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
As the first duly-recognized Arches service provider in Asia, GKI can help your organization adopt this innovative heritage inventory and management system. Need to learn more on how Arches can help you manage heritage resources in your locality? Or, are you ready to implement your very own Arches-based platform? Then, let’s talk!
