MANDALUYONG CITY – Almost twenty architecture students from various universities in Metro Manila, as well as members of Philippine Institute of Architects, participated in Grupo Kalinangan Inc.’s volunteers’ training program for the Philippine Heritage Map. The one-day activity sets off GKI’s collaboration with the Philippine Institute of Architects, Makati Section in creating highly detailed geospatial and architectural documentations of extant built heritage in the districts of Quiapo, Binondo-Escolta and Sampaloc within the City of Manila, and Makati Poblacion. In addition to the mapping activities, experts from the PIA shall curate all publicly-available outputs made by its volunteers. The program will last until January 2017.
